KTM 500 EXC Rally build
Goals
As with any bike build we do, there are certain goals we need to achieve. With this build, the customer wanted an ultra lightweight dual sport bike that was more comfortable on longer rides while exploring out in the PNW.
690 VS. 500
The initial thought was do we take a 690 enduro and make it as light as possible or take a 500 EXC and make it more comfortable for longer rides. Ultimately we decided to go the way of the 500. It was almost a coin flip but in the end we decided that even a fully decked out 500 would be much more maneuverable with the kind of riding he had planned.
